Ignacio Solano is an expert in biological interactions and founder of Paisajismo Urbano. After more than 15 years of work in the design and construction of vertical gardens, added to his expeditions in jungles around the world, he gave life to vertical ecosystems.
A new look at vertical gardening, which until now had only been viewed from an ornamental prism, leaving aside its biological needs. Its species construction and selection system are the result of years of observation and study of the interspecific processes and symbiosis that exist between flora and microfauna.
His passion for nature comes to him since he was just a child. His admiration for reptiles led him to study them in captivity and to appreciate the complexity of the microhabitats he created for them. His vocation led him to graduate in Biology and to make his own expeditions in the jungles of Mexico, Brazil, Madagascar, Argentina, Reunion Islands, Sumatra and Panama.
Ignacio Solano's work has been valued both nationally and internationally. He has participated in numerous congresses and conferences to talk about the importance of returning nature to cities and turning them into “cities with a green heart”. His contribution as founder of the leading company in the construction and design of vertical gardens is to alleviate the lack of horizontal green spaces with gardens capable of wrapping the facades of buildings and contributing to the improvement of the environment.
