After more than five weeks of intensive work, the Paisajismo Urbano<\/em> team, led by biologist and botanical expert Ignacio Solano<\/strong>, has successfully completed an ambitious project in the city of Riyadh<\/strong>, Saudi Arabia. The project consists of a 180 m\u00b2 vertical garden spread across eight green walls<\/strong>\u2014seven exterior and one interior\u2014in a private residence<\/strong>, incorporating around 6,000 plants<\/strong> belonging to more than 30 different species<\/strong>, many of which are endemic to the region.<\/strong> <\/p>

This new milestone marks the arrival of Paisajismo Urbano in the Saudi market,<\/strong> through its local franchise Paisajismo Urbano KSA<\/strong>, and represents a significant step forward in the international expansion of the firm specialising in vertical ecosystems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Adapting to the desert: a challenge overcome\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The main challenge of this project has been to create a sustainable vertical ecosystem in a desert environment, <\/strong>with extreme conditions such as the virtual absence of rainfall,<\/strong> average annual temperatures of 25.4\u00b0C<\/strong>, and temperature variations of more than 20 degrees <\/strong>throughout the year. To achieve this, Ignacio Solano led a botanical expedition through the country’s natural landscapes<\/strong>, with the aim of studying the native flora<\/strong> and selecting resistant species that could thrive in a vertical garden. <\/p>

The result is a design that blends science, art, architecture and ecology, in perfect harmony with the natural and cultural environment of the site. Each plant species has been chosen not only for its aesthetic value, but also for its ability to adapt to the arid climate<\/strong>, ensuring the viability and durability of the project over time. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
