Paisajismo Urbano, a leading company in the design and installation of vertical gardens and sustainable plant solutions, has launched an innovative training programme aimed at companies in the decoration and interior design sector.
The objective is clear: to train professionals in advanced artificial gardening techniques so that they are able to recreate green environments with surprising realism, capable of conveying the same feeling of life and harmony as natural vegetation.
15 years in contact with the jungle
With more than 15 years of experience, the professionals working at Paisajismo Urbano have travelled to various green spaces around the world to bring the jungle to the city. Thanks to their expertise, we can find their projects in more than 20 countries. But now they have gone one step further. They have transferred this knowledge of plant species and trends in biophilia to companies in the sector that want to learn about artificial vertical gardening to improve their design and execution.
‘We know how nature responds visually and structurally. Our challenge is to help ensure that, even when working with artificial elements, the result conveys the same vitality and imperfect beauty found in real ecosystems,’ explains the training team at Paisajismo Urbano.
Learning to design naturally
One of the cornerstones of this training is the ability to design artificial gardens that do not look like they are artificial. To achieve this, students are taught to observe and interpret how vegetation behaves in nature: how it grows, how it is distributed, how different species interact, and how light, climate, and the passage of time affect its appearance.
Companies have discovered how to apply these principles to design with synthetic materials, learning to play with volumes, colours, textures and plant combinations in a coherent and organic way. The ultimate goal is to create decorative green spaces that blend naturally into homes, shops, offices or large facilities, offering an authentic visual experience.
The boost they need
Interior design studios, decorators, renovation companies and manufacturers of artificial solutions participated in this initiative, wishing to offer their customers a final product with greater aesthetic quality, greater durability and higher perceived value.
In addition, the training also had a technical focus. Topics such as the selection of durable materials, sustainability criteria, efficient installation and minimal maintenance were addressed.
We are transferring our understanding of landscaping, based on observation and respect for nature, to the artificial realm. And we do so with the same aesthetic and technical standards that we apply to our natural vertical gardens.
A commitment to sustainability and innovation
In addition to aesthetics, urban landscaping also incorporates considerations of sustainability and functionality. When used appropriately, artificial gardening can be an environmentally friendly solution in spaces where environmental conditions do not allow for live vegetation or where the aim is to reduce water consumption and maintenance.
The company is also exploring the use of new technologies applied to the design and simulation of finishes, such as artificial intelligence, which allows users to visualise how an artificial garden will be integrated into different environments before installation.
With this initiative, Paisajismo Urbano has demonstrated that it is possible to transform the artificial into a natural experience, without sacrificing design, emotion or functionality.
