Edificio Green: Ecosistema Vertical

The difficulty in selecting species, due to the strong winds that the plants at the top of the green façade have to withstand, was a real challenge that was solved by creating a 288-square-metre green wall with more than 15 different species, many of them native.

Its height of 92 metres required a great deal of effort in terms of logistics and execution, due to the difficulty of working at such a height to cover the 288 m2 that comprise it. The vertical garden seeks to complement the building’s envelope, which stands out in the city for its imposing height, thus creating an architectural ensemble that marks a milestone in the city of Medellín. With our colleagues and partners at Groncol SAS, and the patent for Vertical Ecosystems developed by Paisajismo Urbano, we leave you with the second tallest Vertical Ecosystem in the world.
